Background & Objective: Mycoplasma hominis, which belongs to the Mycoplasmataceae family, is an opportunistic pathogen of the genitourinary system. Mycoplasma genitalium, causing urethritis-endometritis-cervicitis, plays a role in prostatitis This study aimed to investigate the prevalence of M. genitalium and M. hominis among women with vaginal infection in Zabol, Iran.
Materials & Methods: In this cross-sectional study, 69 endocervical samples were taken from women aged 18 to 60 years who suffered from vaginal infections. DNAs extracted from the samples were applied as a template for 16SrDNA coding gene amplification using specific primers in two separate PCR reactions.
Results: The highest infection rate was in the age group of 25 to 35 years, with a prevalence of 75%. The highest rate of negative PCR results (54%) was in the age group of 25 to 35 years, followed by the age groups of 36 to 45 years (28%), 18 to 24 years (4%), and older than 45 years (3%). The lowest rate was in the age group younger than 18 years (2%). Considering their levels of education, the highest rate of infection was seen in the subjects with bachelor’s degrees. The rate of Mycoplasma genitalium infection was equal in the subjects who had and did not have a miscarriage (50%). Only 5.7% of the subjects with negative PCR samples had a miscarriage and the rest (94.3%) did not experience a miscarriage.
Conclusion: Overall, the present study showed that the rate of Mycoplasma vaginal infections was very low Also there is no significance deference for infection rate between pregnant women with or without miscarriage history. However, those with Mycoplasma-negative PCR samples had a low miscarriage rate.

Introduction: Many different Doppler-derived techniques have been proposed for overall assessment of cardiovascular well-being. In this report, 3 cases of high output cardiac failure were presented with the aim of evaluating the effect of fetal weight on fetal combined cardiac output (CCO).
Patients Information: The first and second cases were referred to Yas Hospital for the management of fetal anemia at 31and 29 weeks of gestation, respectively, and the third case had a large solid and vascular sacrococcygeal teratoma at 17 weeks. The fetal weight in the first case was less than 10 percentile, in the second case was in normal limit, and in the third one was above 90 percentile. Left ventricle, right ventricle, CCO, and weight-indexed CCO were assessed for both fetuses and all were above normal limit, indicating high output cardiac failure. Right to left cardiac output ratio also increased obviously.
Conclusion: The fetal growth restriction overestimates the weight-indexed CCO and the weight above 90 percentile underestimates it. In these conditions, CCO seems more precise in demonstrating the true burden on fetal heart in comparison with weight-indexed CCO.

Backgroung: Given the importance of natural childbirth and emphasis on the normal vaginal delivery, and since important causes of having a C-section are lack of response to induction of labor with Syntocinon® injection and the fact that the cervix is unfavorable for labor.
Objective: The present study aims at achieving the best method of cervical ripening for pregnancy termination to reduce the C-section rate, labor duration, economic burden, and labor pain.
Methods: In this regard, the current study examined the effect of hyoscine-N-butylbromide (HBB) on the progression of cervical ripening in normal vaginal delivery. In the current prospective double-blind controlled clinical trial, 60 pregnant females referred to Valiasr hospital (with the mean age of 27.2 years) were randomly divided into 2 groups of experimental and control; HBB and normal saline (placebo) were intravenously administered in the active phase of labor.
Results: The pain reduction in the patients, the duration of drug action until the cervical dilatation, the number of drug use for the full cervical dilatation, the time of the onset of the first, second, and third stages of labor, the length of hospitalization until the delivery, the drug effect on the fetus and mother, and the delivery method were evaluated in both groups. HBB significantly reduced the duration of the first stage of labor; however, it did not affect the second and third stages. Moreover, no negative effects were observed on the mother and fetus health.
Conclusion: According to the obtained results, it can be concluded that the intravenous injection of HBB can be applied as an effective drug for labor progress; however, further clinical studies with larger sample sizes are required to confirm these findings.

Introduction: The incidence of very echogenic amniotic fluid on ultrasonographic examination at term pregnancy is very low and its causes and significance in outcome of pregnancy are not well- understood. In previous studies, meconium was considered to be an important cause of very echogenic amniotic fluid and follow-up with amniocentesis and fetal well-being tests were recommended; however, in recent studies vernix caseosa has been identified to be an important cause. As a result, termination of pregnancy should not be performed due to discovery of ultrasonographic echogenic amniotic fluid because it is not associated with adverse pregnancy outcomes.
Case Presentation: We report a single term pregnancy with very echogenic amniotic fluid diagnosed by ultrasonography that was terminated by cesarean section.
Conclusions: There were no adverse outcomes for the mother or neonate and the amniotic fluid was clear at the time of delivery.

Background: As the use of computers and the Internet by adolescents and young adults continues to grow, it appears to be essential to study the relationship between the consumption of electronic media and mental health.
Objectives: The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between depression and Internet addiction in nursing students of Hazrat Zainab school of nursing (Larestan University of Medical Sciences) and Gerash Paramedical School, located in the southern part of the Fars province.
Materials and Methods: This was a descriptive correlation study, in which a questionnaire, including the beck depression inventory (BDI) and the young’s internet addiction test (IAT), were distributed among a total 150 volunteer students of Larestan Faculty of Medical Sciences. Statistical analysis was performed using the SPSS software, version 19 (SPSS, Inc., Chicago, IL, USA).
Results: The results showed that four percent of the participants of this study had Internet addiction and this dependency on the Internet, as according to the t-test, was not significantly different between males and females. However, the current results showed a significant association between depression and Internet addiction (P = 0.024, r = 0.222).
Conclusions: Technology plays an important role in our everyday lives and the identification of its dimensions is crucial.
