Background & Objective: Ovarian mature cystic teratomas (OMCTS) are one of the most common benign ovarian tumors. Most MCTs can be diagnosed by ultrasonography (us). Due to heterogeneous composition and a variety of appearance, in some non-diagnostic imaging reports it is suggested that we evaluate some tumor markers (CA125 and CA19-9) to complement imaging modalities. According to previous investigation, a single elevated CA 19-9 is in association with specific radio-pathologic features, such as size, torsion, bronchial glands, fat and teeth components. Here we are presenting three different cases of OMCT with different characteristics.Case Presentation: Case 1: asymptomatic, non-diagnostic US, single- elevated CA19-9, smaller than in 10 cm with bronchial glands and fat component. Case 2: symptomatic, non-diagnostic U.S. normal CA19-9, larger than 10 cm with torsion and necrosis. Case 3: symptomatic, diagnostic US, single- elevated CA19-9, smaller than 10 cm, full of hair and sebaceous material. Computer tomography (CT), in all of our cases was diagnostic based on OMCT. Apologia of pathologic pathway of elevated CA19-9 in both cases 1 and 3 were in agreement with the result of previous investigations. In case 2, despite its large size and torsion, CA 19-9 level was low.Conclusion: Single- elevated CA 19-9 level in OMCTs could impact benign characteristics of this kind of tumor.

Background & Objective: Postpartum hemorrhage is the most common cause of maternal morbidity, especially in developing countries, and a major cause of direct maternal death worldwide. Considering the importance of timely postpartum hemorrhage management and access to low-risk methods, assessing the efficacy of uterine artery embolization (UAE) is essential. Therefore, the present study was conducted to evaluate the success rate and outcomes of UAE in the treatment of delayed postpartum hemorrhage.Materials & Methods: This cross-sectional study was performed on women with delayed postpartum hemorrhage who were referred to the gynecology and obstetrics clinic of a referral hospital in Urmia city under treatment of UAE. The census method was used for choosing the patients and all women with delayed postpartum hemorrhage between April 2019 and March 2020 were entered into the study.Results: During the study period, he number of 22 women with delayed postpartum hemorrhage were entered into the study. The mean age of the women was 29.36±5.09 years. The success rate of UAE was 95.6%. The number of 20 (90.9%) cases did not report complications. For one case, UAE complication was associated with amenorrhea and for the other one with vaginal bleeding.Conclusion: The results showed that the UAE method as an effective method with high efficacy and low complications can be considered a suitable choice for the treatment of delayed postpartum hemorrhage.

Clindamycin, IVIg, and corticosteroids are widely used in medicine. In this study, we represent an unusual case of sinus bradycardia following the administration of these drugs. The patient was a 31-year-old woman who presented a complaint of vaginal bleeding at Shahid Motahhari Hospital, Urmia, Iran. Vaginal examination revealed active bleeding. Laboratory tests reported a positive HCG level. Ultrasonography was performed, and the results showed the presence of retained products of conception. The patient became a candidate for curettage. The initial pulse rate was tachycardia. Laboratory data were reported, platelet count of 16000. corticosteroids and IVIgs were started. Due to the possibility of infectious abortion, Clindamycin and Gentamicin was started. About 24 hours after curettage and 4 hours after starting clindamycin, the patient felt dizziness. Vital signs were obtained that PR: 38-40. We concluded that clindamycin and IVIg can result in severe bradycardia, even in patients with no previous cardiac history, especially when combined with corticosteroids. As a result, we recommend physicians be more cautious when administrating these medications.

Introduction: Leiomyomas are tumors of the soft tissues. The incidence of myomas within the perineum is absolutely rare and only a few reports have been made on the matter. We herein report a case of perineal myoma in a virgin woman, which was successfully excised.Case report: We present a 35-year-old virgin woman, with complaint referred to a mass in her perineum which had first exhibited signs 5 years prior to the time she referred to us and had increased in size in a steady manner ever since. The mass had caused no gynecologic, rectal, or urinary symptoms. Clinical examination revealed a painless, mobile mass (6cm*6cm) with [unknown consistency] in the right perineum with extension to the distal of the labium majus of the same side.Conclusion: Treatment of symptomatic leiomyomas relies on surgical excision of the mass. However, the surgical method of choice is a matter of debate in previous studies.
